Though unless you have a really high level hero i'd usually spend this on defensive stats and health and put strong will on the helmet. Also Succubi are nice against them for their Throw Curse ability, really handy for lowering their movepoints and preventing Attacks of Opportunity or getting close. All heroes work well, but theocrat does have the option to pick up strong will for 4 points anyway. If she does roll them out I either have Human Priests or Dwarf Priests ready, both are solid against them. He tends to distract the Rogue so I usually don't need to worry about her Shadow Stalkers anyway. I split their stack and have one of them pretend to be the Rogue Draconian and blow the Dam. The only problem is there are usually 3-6 Kraken roaming around, usually in groups of 2.īasically what I did was group up my underground scoundrels/assassins(most get gibbed by krakens) and grab the Human Scoundrels/Assassin you can find south of one of yours. Entering that should put you very close to one of the Dwarf towns. To the left of your starting town is an underground passage only flying/ships can take. Keep your initial ships and stack them onto each other, then either get some flying units with them or build more ships. There's also a couple of Dwarf towns underground and I think a High Elven town on the surface somewhere. Grabbing that and building it up will net you Priests, which do Spirit damage that is effective against Shadow Stalkers. Iirc, there's a human outpost near the top middle of the map. So I restarted and Im going to rush them before they have a chance to get the units, since I have no other defense.
